Thermochromic Pigments

Principle
Based on microencapsulated systems containing color formers, developers, and solvents. Color changes occur when thermal energy triggers molecular rearrangement.
Chemical Properties
Reversible color transition at specific temperatures. Activation range: -15°C to 65°C (customizable). Repeated cycle stability (>10,000 cycles).
Manufacturing Process
Advanced microencapsulation technology protects the thermochromic compounds in polymer shells, ensuring durability and processing stability.
Application Methods
Dosage: 2-10% for visible color change. Process below 230°C to avoid microcapsule damage. Suitable for injection molding, extrusion, and coating applications.

Colored at low temperature; turns colorless when heated to the set point. The color-change temperature can be set anywhere from -20 to 78°C according to user needs. The R series offers the widest variety and the most complete color range.
F Series — Thermal Coloring
Color-temperature behavior is the opposite of the R series. Colorless at low temperature; turns colored when heated to the set point.
EW Series — Wide-Interval Bistable Thermal Memory Decoloring
Wide-interval bistable thermal memory decoloring type: decolors at the high-temperature end (55~62°C) and colors at the low-temperature end (-15~-20°C). The color depends not only on temperature but also on the direction of temperature change, and both states are stable at room temperature.
EF Series — Thermal Memory Coloring
Thermal memory coloring type: colors at the high-temperature end (50~55°C) and decolors at the low-temperature end (5~-20°C). The color depends not only on temperature but also on the direction of temperature change, and both states are stable at room temperature.
EN Series — Narrow-Interval Thermal Memory Decoloring
Narrow-interval bistable thermal memory decoloring type: decolors at the high-temperature end (25°C) and colors at the low-temperature end (15°C). The color depends not only on temperature but also on the direction of temperature change, and both states are stable at room temperature.
T Series — Interval Coloring
Colorless at both low and high temperatures; only colored within a specific temperature interval T0~T1.
P Series — Pressure-Thermal Decoloring
Initially colorless; after being subjected to an initial pressure, it acquires the same color-change behavior as the R series (coloring at low temperature, decoloring on heating).
