Thermochromic Pigments
Smart pigments that reversibly change color in response to temperature variations.
Principle
Based on microencapsulated systems containing color formers, developers, and solvents. Color changes occur when thermal energy triggers molecular rearrangement.
Chemical Properties
Reversible color transition at specific temperatures. Activation range: -15°C to 65°C (customizable). Repeated cycle stability (>10,000 cycles).
Manufacturing Process
Advanced microencapsulation technology protects the thermochromic compounds in polymer shells, ensuring durability and processing stability.
Application Methods
Dosage: 2-10% for visible color change. Process below 230°C to avoid microcapsule damage. Suitable for injection molding, extrusion, and coating applications.
Thermochromic Pigments Products
99 productsR Series
Reversible thermal coloring pigments - Standard series with various color options and temperature ranges. Available in N (Narrow Range), A/Z (General Purpose), GX (Low Residual Color), P (Injection Molding), and AO (Offset Printing) grades.
T Series
Reversible interval thermal coloring pigments - High color concentration with good heat resistance. Suitable for injection molding of PE and other plastics.
F Series
Reversible thermal coloring pigments for inks - Lower coloring temperature with slower decoloring speed. Low color concentration and poor heat resistance, not applicable for injection molding or high-temperature baking.
EF/EW/EN Series
Thermal memory pigments - EF: Wide interval bistable thermal memory coloring, EW: Wide interval bistable thermal memory decoloring, EN: Narrow interval bistable thermal memory decoloring. High color concentration with minimal residual color.
P Series
Pressure coloring ~ Thermal decoloring pigments - Coloring by pressure, decoloring by heating. Suitable for silk screen printing with specific inks and solvents.
