Principle
Organic pigments are carbon-based compounds that provide color through selective light absorption. They consist of complex molecular structures with conjugated systems that create vivid, saturated colors.
Chemical Properties
High tinting strength with excellent light fastness (6-8 on blue wool scale). Heat resistance up to 300°C and superior chemical resistance make them ideal for demanding applications.
Manufacturing Process
Synthesized through coupling reactions, condensation, or cyclization processes, followed by surface treatment and micronization for optimal dispersion.
Application Methods
Typically used at 0.1-2% concentration. Pre-disperse in carrier resin before main batch mixing. Compatible with PE, PP, PS, ABS, and engineering plastics.
