Fluorescent Yellow 3G (Solvent Yellow 98) is a naphthalimide fluorescent solvent dye with fluorescent greenish yellow shades and a melting point of 110°C. It exhibits good light fastness that decreases as TiO2 is added, while its excellent heat resistance achieves its use for coloring of engineering plastics, especially where a bright glossy effect is required. It delivers brilliant fluorescent lemon tones in PS, ABS, PC, PET and PMMA and is used for sportswear trims, safety goods and attention grabbing packaging.

Usage Instructions

Dose 0.02-0.25% for fluorescent shades; the effect is fully developed at low loading. Despite the low melting point of 110°C, the dye is thermally stable in polymer service up to 300°C class processing. Limit TiO2 to preserve fluorescence and disperse uniformly before extrusion.
