Solvent Green 5

Also Known As:Fluorescent Green 8GFC.I. 5907559075Perylene

Fluorescent Green 8GF (Solvent Green 5) is a perylene based fluorescent solvent dye with a bright, greenish yellow leaning fluorescent green shade. Heat resistance is excellent up to 300°C, and light fastness is excellent in full shade. It colors engineering plastics such as PS, SAN, PMMA and PC with strong fluorescent effect, while grades with impact modifiers such as SB, ABS and ASA should be tested first as the effect can be muted. It is also used for spin dyeing where a striking fluorescent green is wanted.

Usage Instructions

Dose 0.02-0.3%; fluorescent shades reach full effect quickly because of the dye's extreme strength. Processing up to 300°C is safe in PS, SAN, PMMA and PC. In impact modified resins such as ABS and ASA, run trials since fluorescence may be reduced. For spin dyeing, confirm dispersion uniformity before extrusion.
